Tallaght West Credit Union has a vacancy for an experienced MSO

Position:                              Member Service Officer
Contract:                             Full-time Permanent (37.5 Hours)
Reporting to:                      Member Service Manager
Location:                             Springfield, West Tallaght
Remuneration:                   €29,404-€34,513 depending on relevant experience. 

Tallaght West Credit Union is a community credit union with over 18,000 members.  We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Member Service Officer to join our team.

Role Description

Reporting to the Member Service Manager, this role will have a variety of duties within the credit union.  Such duties to include:

  • Carrying out transactions & serving members through multiple channels i.e., telephone, online and over the counter.
  • Assisting members through the Loan Application & drawdown process.
  • Dealing with member queries on our products and services.
  • Operate within the risk & compliance framework of the Credit Union and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.
  • Completing other duties as assigned to include a range of administrative and organisational tasks as delegated by the line manager.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Experience working in a frontline role with the public. A credit union or similar financial institution experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience of the SCION Credit Union Banking System would be an advantage.
  • The role holder will be required to satisfy the minimum competency requirements and meet the required  fitness and Probity standards  as set out by the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity Regime for credit unions
  • The Credit Union will provide financial support for the successful candidate to obtain a suitable  qualification e.g. APA Loans / QFA where it is not held currently.
  • Team worker with strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Excellent analytical & decision-making skills.
  • Member focused, friendly with an excellent telephone manner.
  • Willingness to be flexible and take on new tasks and projects.
